Food Stamps Schedules: Which State Delivers SNAP Benefits in the Next Ten Days?

Starting this weekend, many California families will receive important assistance. CalFresh deposits are being sent, and nearly 4.8 million EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) cards will be loaded. This support is vital for many people to fill their pantries with fresh, nutritious food. It’s a real relief for everyday life.

It’s no coincidence that California leads the way in the number of people using SNAP (the federal program, of which CalFresh is the state version). The need here is great. The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) manages this entire system, ensuring that aid reaches those who truly qualify, meeting income and resource requirements.

When does my CalFresh payment arrive in June?

The exact date you’ll see the money on your EBT card depends on your case number, specifically its last digit. Deliveries are distributed during the first ten days of each month. For June 2025, the schedule is as follows:

  • Final digit 1: June 1
  • Final digit 2: June 2
  • Last digit 3: June 3
  • Last digit 4: June 4
  • Last digit 5: June 5
  • Last digit 6: June 6
  • Final digit 7: June 7
  • Final digit 8: June 8
  • Final digit 9: June 9
  • Final digit 0: June 10

The exact amount you’re eligible for CalFresh varies depending on, among other factors, household size and gross monthly income. These maximum amounts are in effect until the end of September.

The USDA will then review cumulative inflation using the COLA Index at the end of fiscal year 2025, which will determine whether there will be an increase in benefits starting October 1. But for now, these are the income limits and maximum benefits you can receive, based on your household size:

  • 1 person: Maximum income $2,510 / Maximum benefit $291.
  • 2 people: Maximum income $3,408 / Maximum benefit $535.
  • 3 people: Maximum income $4,304 / Maximum benefit $766.
  • 4 people: Maximum income $5,200 / Maximum benefit $973.
  • 5 people: Maximum income $6,098 / Maximum benefit $1,155.
  • 6 people: Maximum income $6,994 / Maximum benefit $1,386.
  • 7 people: Maximum income $7,890 / Maximum benefit $1,532.
  • 8 people: Maximum income $8,788 / Maximum benefit $1,751.

If your household includes more than eight members, each additional person adds $898 to the gross income limit and $219 to the maximum possible benefit. It’s important to know these figures to understand how much assistance you could receive.

You may need to exchange your EBT card for a new one.

There’s an significant change this year related to the physical card. All old EBT cards are being replaced with new ones that have integrated chip technology. This change began at the beginning of the year, and the goal is clear: to make transactions more secure and combat fraud, such as card skimming.

CDSS planned to have this replacement completed between February and June of this year. If you haven’t received your new chip card yet, contact your local CalFresh/SNAP benefits office.
