SSI Payment July 2025: When Will You Get Your Money?

Social Security Checks Averaging $2,000 to Arrive in Just Hours for Millions

If you haven’t received your SSDI payment for June yet, the disbursement will happen soon: in fact, millions of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries are scheduled to receive their payments this week.

The fourth and final monthly distribution will take place on the fourth Wednesday of the month for those who claimed their payments after May 1997, which is the majority of current recipients. SSDI payments are distributed monthly to approved beneficiaries with disabilities that prevent them from performing a Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA), which is a paid work.

The specific date of receipt depends on the date of birth, and the beneficiaries are grouped into three broad categories: beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th of any month; beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th of any month; and finally, beneficiaries born after the 21st of any month.

The last SSDI payment for June will be in less than 48 hours

Beneficiaries whose birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of any month received their SSDI payment on June 11th. This date corresponds to the second Wednesday of June. The SSA assigns this week to the first group based on birthdate.

Those whose birthdays were between the 11th and the 20th received their SSDI benefits on June 18th. This date represents the third Wednesday of the month. Those born between the 21st and 31st of any month will receive their SSDI payment on June 25th, just a couple of days away.

For people receiving SSDI payments before May 1997, the date was June 3. This group constitutes an exception to the regular calendar. Their payment is always issued at the beginning of the month, regardless of their birthday.

The maximum SSDI payment is $4,018, which is reserved for a small number of beneficiaries who have at least 40 accumulated work credits, with at least 20 earned during the last 10 years before the onset of disability.

Additionally, to receive the maximum benefit, you must have been a high earner throughout your working career, having contributed to the maximum taxable amount of Social Security for most years. The SSA calculates your benefit based on your 35 highest-earning years.

If you reached the maximum taxable amount (in 2025, $176,100) for at least those requested 35 years, that qualifies you for the maximum payment.

Where do I call if my SSDI payment didn’t arrive?

Those who did not receive their SSDI payment by the expected date should wait at least three business days to determine that there were no delays external to the SSA, such as processing issues at the bank where the receiving account is held (or problems with postal distribution, in the case of those who receive their payments by paper check).

If the money hasn’t arrived after that time, you should contact the SSA by phone. You can call 1-800-772-1213, which is the main customer service line. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., always in your local time zone.

If you are hearing impaired, you can also reach us via TTY 1-800-325-0778. It’s important to have your Social Security number ready when you call, as they may ask for it to verify your identity.
