Alaska residents are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to cash stimulus check in on the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD), with those currently classified as “Eligible-Unpaid” set to benefit at the end of 2024.

Established in 1976, the Alaska Permanent Fund was designed to manage the state’s oil revenues. Governed by the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation, it aims to distribute these profits directly to the people of Alaska.

The PFD channels a portion of the profits from natural resources, ensuring that the financial gains from the state’s oil and gas sectors are shared with its residents.

Eligible residents can look forward to receiving a payment of $1,312 as part of this stimulus initiative, which is intended to boost spending and investment. In 2025, the aid will increase to $1,702, benefiting approximately 600,000 residents.

According to the PFD website, here’s what to know for Stimulus Check

  • Dividends in an “Eligible-Not Paid” status as of December 11, 2024, will be distributed on December 19, 2024.
  • Dividends still in “Eligible-Not Paid” status on January 8, 2025, will be distributed on January 16, 2025.

These dates reflect the commitment to ensuring timely payments for those who qualify, fostering a sense of economic security and community well-being. Are you curious about the eligibility criteria for the $1,312 PFD stimulus payment?

Eligibility Criteria for the PFD Stimulus Payment

The Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) is a beneficial payment for those who meet specific requirements. Here’s what you need to know:

Residency Requirements

You must have been a resident of Alaska for the entire calendar year preceding the date you apply for the dividend and intend to remain an Alaska resident indefinitely at the time you apply.

  • First and foremost, you must be a registered resident of Alaska.
  • You should have lived in the state for at least 12 consecutive months.
  • There should be no plans to relocate out of Alaska in the near future.

Restrictions on Other Residency Claims

It’s crucial that the beneficiary has not applied for residency in another state or country. Additionally, you must not have received benefits resulting from such an application.

Presence and Legal Conditions

  • A minimum of 72 continuous hours spent in Alaska within the previous 24 months is required.
  • Applicants must not have been incarcerated for a felony in the last year. If previously convicted of a felony or two misdemeanors since January 1, 1997, they must also not have been jailed for a misdemeanor.

Application Process

Applications for the PFD are accepted annually from January 1 to March 31. You can apply by mail or online. Remember, it is essential to submit an application for each family member, including children.

To check your PFD application status and verify your eligibility:
