SNAP recipients in Florida will receive their allocations between May 1 and 10, 2025. The exact date is determined by the 9th and 8th digits of the case number, omitting the 10th digit if present. This method seeks to organize the delivery of funds in a staggered manner.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) works in Florida differently compared to other states. The calendar sets specific ranges per day. For example, those with numbers ending in 00-03 will receive benefits on May 1. The digits 04-06 correspond to May 2, and so on until May 10, assigned to numbers 32-34.

This is how the date is determined in the state of Florida: based on the 9th and 8th digits of your Florida case number, read backwards and ignoring the 10th digit.

For example, if a beneficiary’s case number ends in 789, then the reference number to know what their payment date is 87: as you saw, we read first the ninth digit, then the eighth, and we eliminate the tenth number which is 9.

In fiscal year 2025, the amount of SNAP benefits varies by household size. For a single-person household, the maximum monthly benefit is $292, while the estimated average monthly benefit, which may be less, depends on several factors and individual circumstances.

For households with two people, the maximum monthly amount is $536. In the case of three people, it increases to $768, and for four people, the maximum allowed is $975. A household with five members can receive up to $1,158 per month, and one with six people could access $1,390.

In larger homes, the benefit continues to increase. For example, a family of seven can get a monthly maximum of $1,536, while a family of eight reaches $1,756. Starting with the ninth member, an additional $220 is added for each additional person to the total amount.

For Fiscal Year 2025, a 2.5% Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) was implemented, effective October 1, 2024, and remains in effect through September 30, 2025. This payment affect the food stamps program as well as other federal systems, such as the Social Security, and many more.

Regarding the SNAP benefits, this increment is made by the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) to ensure that these payments keep pace with inflation and the rising cost of living. What’s coming in October 2025? We still don’t know because Trump’s administration y taking risky decisions that may impact inflation.
