The SSA Alerts: No Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Payment in June 2025

Social Security Schedule Confirmed: Retirees, SSDI to Get Money This Week

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps, will distribute payments in May 2025 for families of four. Maximum amounts vary by geographic location, ranging from $975 in the lower 48 states to $1,437 in territories such as Guam.

In California, the program is called CalFresh, while other states use local terminologies. Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands offer higher amounts due to high costs of living. Payments are adjusted to maintain the purchasing power of eligible beneficiaries.

Only 22 states are distributing SNAP benefits this week

Some states distribute SNAP benefits in just a couple of days, while others take up to 28 days each month to deliver the money to the millions of beneficiaries who live in their territories.

States that distribute SNAP benefits between May 12 and 18, 2025:

May payments for Alaska and Hawaii were made on May 1, so funds for that month will arrive in June: June 1 in Alaska and June 3 or 5 in Hawaii. This differs from other states, where dates extend throughout May.

Virginia will close its payments on May 7, targeting beneficiaries whose case numbers end in digits 6-9. This state uses the last digit of the case number to define the schedule, a method partially replicated in other jurisdictions.

Alabama will distribute funds from May 4 to 23, while Arizona will do so from May 1 to 13. California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina and the District of Columbia will issue payments between May 1 and 10. Florida and Texas will extend their deposits until the 28th.

In states such as Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina and Ohio, payments will be made between mid and late May. Maine will concentrate its deposits from May 10 to 14, and Utah will make them on three specific dates: May 5, 11 and 15.

Territories such as Guam and Puerto Rico will follow similar schemes to the states: Guam will pay from May 1 to 10, and Puerto Rico from May 4 to 22. The District of Columbia will maintain its calendar from May 1 to 10.
