Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare LLC, a well-known skin care brand, has reached a class action settlement with consumers who alleged that its C+Collagen products, that were actually advertised as products that contained collagen as a main ingredient, in fact did not. The settlement, which was reached following a lawsuit filed by Jami Kandel, Mocha Gunaratna and Renee Camenforte, resolved disputes over the labeling of C+Collagen products. The plaintiffs accused the company of misleading consumers into believing that the products contained collagen, which raised the price of the products.

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare LLC, for its part, denied the allegations when received the class action lawsuit, claiming that its products did contain vitamin C, which stimulates the skin’s natural collagen production. However, the company accepted the agreement to avoid additional costs and possible legal risks.

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare LLC Products Included in Lawsuit

The settlement affects all consumers who purchased C+Collagen products from Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare LLC between March 10, 2016 and June 28, 2024. The products included in the settlement are:

  • C+Collagen Deep Cream
  • C+Collagen Serum
  • C+Collagen Mist
  • C+Collagen Eye Cream
  • C+Collagen Mask

Affected consumers have several legal options, including filing a claim to obtain a cash payment, opting out of the settlement, objecting to the settlement, attending the hearing, or doing nothing. The deadline to file a claim or opt out of the settlement is September 27, 2024.

This Settlement applies only to C+Collagen products, not any other Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare products.

The settlement provides an opportunity for consumers who purchased C+Collagen products from Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare LLC to obtain a cash payment. However, it is recommended that each person carefully review the information in the agreement and make an informed decision about how to proceed.

Consumers Have Legal Options in This Lawsuit

The class action lawsuit has sparked controversy over the presence of collagen in Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare LLC’s C+Collagen products. While the company claims that its products contain vitamin C, which stimulates natural collagen production in the skin, consumers alleged that the labeling was misleading by suggesting that the products directly contained collagen.

Consumers affected by the class action settlement have different legal options that they should carefully consider:

  • Submit a claim: To obtain a cash payment, a valid claim must be submitted by September 27, 2024. The claim process can be completed online.
  • Opting Out of the Settlement: If you wish to opt out of the settlement, there is also a deadline of September 27, 2024. This option allows the consumer to participate in future lawsuits against Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare LLC.
  • Object to the settlement: Consumers can file objections to the settlement with the court by September 27, 2024.
  • Attend the hearing: A court hearing will be held on October 31, 2024 to discuss the settlement. Those interested in participating can request to speak about it.
  • Do nothing: If no action is taken, the consumer will receive no benefit from the settlement and waives his or her right to participate in future lawsuits.
