SSDI June 2025 Dates: The Full Schedule Confirmed for All Beneficiaries

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has modified the payment date for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments for June 2025. Because June 1 falls on a Sunday, the deposit will be made on Friday, May 30, following the protocol for early payments on weekends or holidays.

SSI funds are converted into monthly payments for people with limited income and resources, such as seniors, people with disabilities, or blindness. Unlike traditional pensions, this program does not require work history, and the amounts depend on the beneficiary’s financial situation.

Changes to the SSI payment schedule for 2025

In June 2025, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will not receive their payment on the 1st. According to the Social Security Administration (SSA), the adjustment is due to the fact that June 1st falls on a Sunday. Therefore, the deposit was moved up to Friday, May 30th.

This modification follows the rules established by the SSA: if the regular payment date falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the deposit is made on the preceding business day. In 2025, other months will also undergo similar adjustments, such as August, October, and December.

Beneficiaries received two deposits in May: one corresponding to the month and another in advance for June. The SSA clarified that “this is not an additional payment, but rather a readjustment of dates to ensure timely delivery.” The next regular payment will be on July 1.

SSI is a federal program for people with limited resources, such as adults over 65, individuals with disabilities, or blindness. Unlike other Social Security benefits, it does not require prior work history. It is funded by general taxes, not Social Security funds.

Some SSI recipients will receive up to $2,900 in May

The maximum amounts for 2025 are $967 per month for individuals and $1,450 for couples. These amounts are adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index. Payments may be reduced if recipients have other income or financial support, such as housing or food provided by third parties.

That said, couples who qualify for the maximum $1,450 could see a total of up to $2,900 in May, but that means there will be zero payments in June.

Months with double SSI payments (and none) in 2025

In addition to May, three other months in 2025 will have two SSI deposits: August, October, and December. This occurs when the first day of the following month is a holiday or weekend. For example, in August, the September payment was moved up to the 29th due to Labor Day.

The non-payment months will be June, September, November, and January 2026. In each case, the corresponding deposit was made in the previous month. The SSA emphasizes that these changes do not affect the total annual amount received by beneficiaries; they merely redistribute the dates.

What you need to be clear about is that, in total, you should receive no more and no less than 12 annual payments, one for each corresponding month.
