New SNAP payments coming in June in Florida

SSA Confirms SSDI (Disability) Dates for June 2025 With Payments of Nearly $4,000

Almost 600,00 Americans to Get Extra SNAP Benefits Bonus

Americans facing tough times are at risk of falling into poverty. To prevent this and encourage families to lead a healthy lifestyle, the SNAP benefit was introduced. If you feel things aren’t going as planned and the turning point is farther than you originally thought, you can take advantage of this benefit. Check here if you are eligible for SNAP food assistance coupons, as well as all confirmed scheduled payment dates.

The SNAP benefits program was established in 1964. Perhaps some people are not familiar with the term “SNAP benefits,” but you surely know the Food Stamp Program. Originally designed to provide food stamps instead of direct aid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP benefits) was created in 1964 and is now considered one of the largest government assistance programs.

The Florida Access EBT Card: Accepted in Many Places

This nutritional benefit allows households to receive a certain amount of money each month through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which functions similarly to a debit card. In Florida, it is called the “Florida Access EBT Card,” and the first time you receive it, it arrives by mail. This card allows you to:

  • Purchase food at retail stores marked with the “EBT Accepted Here” sign or that have the Quest logo.
  • Withdraw cash from your benefit account using an ATM with the Quest logo.
  • Withdraw cash from select financial institutions: Bank of America, Bank of West, Capital One, Chase, Citibank, Flagstar Bank, Presto, S Bank, and Wells Fargo.

It’s important to remember that sales tax cannot be applied to items purchased with your EBT card using SNAP benefit funds. Additionally, it is not allowed to purchase any of the following types of items:

  • Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
  • Medications and supplements.
  • Hot foods sold in-store.
  • Cleaning supplies.
  • Household items.
  • Personal hygiene items.

You can check your Florida Access card balance on this page or contact the agency at 888-356-3281.
