The Social Security Administration (SSA) is maintaining its scheduled Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) payment schedule for June 2025, for now, with no changes affecting payment dates.
Beneficiaries will receive their deposits based on their birthdays, and there are three disbursement dates established for these three groups. Distribution follows standard SSA payment rules, which determine the specific Wednesday of the month in which the deposit is made.
The three SSDI disability payment dates for June 2025
Beneficiaries with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any month will receive their SSDI payment on the second Wednesday of the month. For June 2025, this date corresponds to June 11.
Those whose birthday falls between the 11th and 20th will receive their deposit on the third Wednesday. In June, this date is June 18, 2025. This allocation is consistent with the annual calendar.
Beneficiaries born between the 21st and 31st of the month will receive their payment on the fourth Wednesday. In June 2025, this date is set for June 25. The SSA confirms this operational schedule.
There remains a small group of beneficiaries who began receiving their benefits before May 1997: these share their payment date with Social Security retirees who received payments before that date. For these two groups, the payment date is the 3rd of each month, except when it falls on a holiday or weekend: in June, no change is expected, so it will be the 3rd.
Disability benefits in force from the SSA
The maximum monthly benefit for an individual without dependents receiving SSDI in 2025 is $4,018. This figure represents an increase from the 2024 maximum of $3,822. The adjustments are based on annual calculations.
The average benefit for an individual receiving SSDI is approximately $1,580 per month through 2025. This average reflects the situation of most individual beneficiaries of the program.
For SSDI beneficiaries with eligible dependents, the average monthly benefit is significantly higher. This averages around $2,826. Adding dependents increases the total amount.
