There’s No SSI Payment in June 2025: Where’s Your Money and What’s Next

SSDI Benefits Schedule – June Dates and Amounts Confirmed by the SSA

The month of August has arrived with Social Security payments for beneficiaries of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the Retirement, Survivors and Disability Insurance (RSDI) program. After the SSA delivered the first two respective payments of the month, all RSDI beneficiaries who applied for benefits after May 1997 will now receive three additional payments based on the beneficiary’s date of birth.

SSI beneficiaries will receive their additional payment in the last week of the month, since September 1st falls on a Sunday.

It is vitally important to note that whenever a payment date falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the Social Security Administration reschedules that date to the previous business day. All Social Security payments are confirmed for disabled and SSI beneficiaries in the month of August.

More Payments to Come in August — Approved by the SSA

According to the Social Security payment schedule, people with disabilities still have three payments scheduled for the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month. These three payments will be delivered according to the day the beneficiaries were born, as detailed below:

  • On August 14: Disabled people born between the 1st and 10th will receive their deposits.
  • On August 21: People with disabilities who were born between the 11th and the 20th will receive their deposits.
  • On August 28: People with disabilities who were born between the 21st and 31st will receive their deposits.

When these Social Security payments are completed, the SSA will send the last payment of the month on August 31 to all beneficiaries of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program.

On average, disabled people are expected to receive $1,537, but other payment amounts are available, such as $2,590 for blind beneficiaries and the maximum SSDI payment of $3,822 for those beneficiaries who made Social Security contributions based on their maximum income subject to tax.

Additionally, SSI beneficiaries will receive an average of $698 per month, while those beneficiaries who applied as individuals and couples will receive up to $943 and $1,415 in benefits, respectively.

More SSI Payments in the Upcoming Months

Social Security payments confirmed for SSI beneficiaries in the second half of the year. According to the official payment schedule, this double SSI payment will also be made in the month of November, since December 1st falls on a weekend. To get a clear idea of all upcoming confirmed SSI payments for the second half of the year:

  • August: Thursday 1st of the month
  • August (corresponding to September): Friday, August 30
  • October: Tuesday 1st of the month
  • November: Friday 1st of the month
  • November (corresponding to December): Friday, November 29

How Much Money Will SSI Beneficiaries Receive in Total This Month?

Since SSI beneficiaries will receive a double payment in the month of August, they will receive a total of $1,886 for individuals and $2,830 for couples.

Don’t forget that it is not an additional payment, but rather an advance payment for the following month, therefore, beneficiaries of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will not receive benefits in September.

In addition to these monthly benefits, SSI beneficiaries should take into account that their deposits already include the 3.2% cost of living adjustment (COLA) increase, which was officially confirmed last year in October.

According to the latest projections from the Senior Citizens League (TSCL), the 2025 COLA is expected to be about 2.63%, which will be lower than the current COLA, but will still increase Social Security payments in 2025.

If the COLA increase of 2.63% becomes official in the month of October, that percentage will determine how much Social Security checks will increase for all beneficiaries starting in January 2025.

However, take into account that this is just a projection, as the official percentage could increase or decrease later this year. Based on this increase, Social Security payments for SSI beneficiaries could increase as follows:

SSI Benefits Social Security Payments Including COLA 2025 (2.63%)
On average $698 $716
Individuals $943 $968
Couples $1,415 $1,452
essential person $472 $484
