Born to a Hungarian and Catholic mother and a German Jewish father, Paul Newman has been one of the most prominent names internationally. The couple met in 1953, while working as understudies in the Broadway play 'Picnic'. Although Newman, at the time, was married to Jackie Witte, with whom he also had three children, the two began their love affair.
Drinking came between the couple

Likewise, his second marriage, this time to Joanne Woodward, also gave Newman three other daughters: Nell, Melissa and Claire. The eldest decided to devote herself to cinema, just like her father, debuting under the name of Nell Potts in the first film directed by Newman.
