She is an American reporter and anchorwoman who, as of today, works as an anchorwoman for ABC News in New York. Her professional career has made her very popular in her country and she has become one of the voices of reference when it comes to talking about current affairs and information of the moment.
Robach has had a television career of great baggage and this is an aspect on which we are going to deepen a little more. On the contrary, it is not so much the knowledge we have about his personal life or his love relationships. For this reason, from The Look we have gathered all the information you need to know to discover how is the day to day life of the presenter and with whom she shares her life.
The first years of Amy Robach's life
The reporter's birth name is Amy Joanne Robach. Although she was born in St. Joseph, during her childhood she moved to many other places such as East Landing, Michigan, St. Louis, Missouri and finally Georgia. There she attended Brookwood High School and then college, where she majored in broadcast journalism.
Once she finished college, Amy began working as a reporter at WCBD in 1995 and stayed there for four years. Through this position, she went on to join WTTG in Washington, D.C., and then MSNBC.
These have been Amy Robach's jobs as an anchor
All this led Robach to announce, in 2007, that she would take the position of co-host of Weekend, which would mean her beginnings as an anchorwoman. After that, she started working at ABC News, hosting Good Morning America.
From that moment on, she would go on working in different programs of the network, including a special that was made on the occasion of the coronavirus pandemic. Currently, the reporter is still an anchorwoman for ABC News.
What has her love life been like?
Regarding the love relationships that the anchorwoman has had throughout her life, we know that Amy has been married twice. The first one was with Tim McIntosh, a cricketer from New Zealand, in 1996. The two had two daughters together, Annalise and Ava, but ended up divorcing in 2008.
After this, Robach remarried in 2010. This time it was to American actor Andrew Shue. The couple met during a book presentation and, to this day, they are still together and in love.
Amy Robach diagnosed with breast cancer
In the month of November 2013, life put a major obstacle in Amy's life. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and, after announcing it on the show where she worked, she decided to undergo a bilateral mastectomy. During the surgery, doctors discovered a second malignant tumor in the other breast and this complicated the treatment.
With a lot of strength and a positive attitude, Robach received eight doses of chemotherapy, radiation and reconstruction surgery. It was all worth it because, as of 2021, the presenter could already say she was cancer-free.
